How Your Registration Makes a Difference
The Wrightsville Beach Turkey Trot raises money for Cape Fear Habitat for Humanity. Each year, runners raise enough money to build a house for a neighbor in our community.
Seeking to put God’s love into action, Cape Fear Habitat for Humanity brings people together to build homes, communities, and hope. Through an affordable mortgage, families have the opportunity to build strength, stability, and self-reliance.
Cape Fear Habitat was founded in 1987 and is currently celebrating its 31st Anniversary this year! Cape Fear Habitat was founded on the conviction that everyone deserves a decent place to live. Since its founding, Cape Fear Habitat has helped over 190 local families realize their dream of owning their own homes, and hundreds more through financial literacy courses, credit counseling, and neighborhood revitalization projects. Cape Fear Habitat works with families and individuals of all faiths in need of a decent, affordable place to live. Through community partnerships and passionate volunteers, Habitat constructs quality homes that are purchased by local families and individuals on terms they can afford.
