Both of the above recipes are very simple and can be adjusted to your taste by choosing your own favorite rum – dark rum is preferred by some people. Try adding more fruit.
Choosing Your Strawberries
It is preferable to use Fresh strawberries. They are available throughout most of the year but are at their peak in April, May and June.
Take time to wash and hull fresh berries properly before mixing them into your drink.
Frozen strawberries can be used as well, especially when going the frozen daiquiri route.
