The Outer Banks Seafood Festival is set for Saturday, October 21, 2017. The 6th Annual Seafood Festival will feature amazing local seafood, outer banks restaurants, and live music.
The mission of the Outer Banks Seafood Festival is to provide a fun and educational experience promoting, honoring and celebrating this coastal seafood heritage and community.
For years, the Outer Banks held ‘The Wanchese Seafood Festival’ which was a celebration of the industry and the village that was built on bringing in fresh seafood to market.
The Outer Banks Seafood Festival is the result of a renewed desire to bring that history and heritage back to life for visitors and locals alike.
This year’s festival will feature local favorites Out ‘N the Cold, Old Enough To Know Better and The Crowd complimenting two feature acts, The Jamie Pridgen Band and Kevin Mac. Thanks to the generosity of our Event Title Sponsor Town Bank OBX and stage and entertainment sponsors OBX Chevrolet and Duck Thru and the festival will feature great music and entertainment for everyone to enjoy!
Jamie Pridgen discovered his musical talents at a young age. His Grandfather was the leader of a classic Country band called the “Country Echoes Band” out of Rocky Mount, NC. At the age of 2 he was being held in the arms of his grandfather, Donald, in a rehearsal room in the mountains when the band started practicing a song called, “Till each tear you cry becomes a rose.” by Keith Whitley, when he joined in for the first time. Band members and family members were shocked that he was on key and sounded like a singer, and not a 2 year old. After that Jamie was the center of attention in the “Country Echoes Band”.
Singer, songwriter and guitarist Kevin MaC wins audiences over immediately as he explodes on stage with his exuberant personality. Although his roots are in country music and his original music is decidedly country, Kevin is far from a one-trick pony; he loves to surprise audiences with his own spin on hip hop, classic rock and sometimes even a boy band hit or two.
Kevin has opened for industry heavy hitters Kenny Chesney, Martina McBride, Phil Vassar, Darryl Worley, Trace Adkins, Colt Ford, LeAnn Rimes, Kip Moore, The Band Perry, Missy Elliott, Blacksreet, T. Mills, Timbaland, J. Cole and Ashanti. He re-recorded a “Southern Swag” version of the 1990s hit “No Diggity” with mega producer Teddy Riley, and he has written and collaborated with some of the most accomplished songwriters in the business, including hitmakers for Rascal Flatts, Diamond Rio, Beyonce and Britney Spears. In 2014 Kevin signed his first major record publishing deal with mega producer Dr. Luke’s Prescription songs based out of Los Angeles, California.
