Join us for LakeFest, a FREE CFRW event to celebrate Greenfield Lake and promote science and nature!
Located at Greenfield Lake near the Boathouse and 302 Willard Street
October 3, October 10, October 17, and October 24 10am-12pm
Come celebrate the flora, fauna and history of Greenfield Lake and learn about impacts to our region’s waterways at this year’s smaller, safe events in October. More than 600 people attended LakeFest 2019. In order to keep our supporters safe from COVID-19, we plan to have smaller numbers on four different Saturdays in October. Each Saturday will have different exhibits/exhibitors from local conservation groups in our community.
Bring your family and your face coverings anytime 10 am – 12 pm on one of these four Saturdays:
October 3rd: Plants and Animals of the Lower Cape Fear featuring Bald Head Island Conservancy, Native Plant Society & Cape Fear River Watch
October 24th: Mosquitos and Marine Protection featuring UNCW Namepa, New Hanover County Mosquito Control & Cape Fear River Watch
