The Coastal North Carolina real estate market is jumping! Residential real estate sales in Brunswick County totaled $1.2 billion in 2017 passing the billion dollar mark for the first time since 2005.
This was an increase of 32% over 2016 according to the latest Brunswick County Association of realtors data.
In 2017 the number of units sold increased 23% over the previous year from 3746 to 4613. The average sales price increased 8.5% from $243,610-$261,925.
“Brunswick County’s residential real estate market demonstrated strong steady growth throughout 2017, with total sales volume exceeding $1 billion for the first time since the recession,” said Cynthia Walsh CEO of BCAR in a press release “we are in strong shape heading into 2018, and we anticipate continued strong, steady growth.”
