The annual Extension Master Gardener Association plant sale, which takes place during the prime Wilmington planting season, will be held April 11-14.
Here, plant shoppers can purchase a number of locally grown herbs, vegetables, flowers (including annuals and perennials), shrubs, trees, and even rose bushes, as they chat with master gardener volunteers for advice on planting and long-term care.
Open to the public, with several acres of plants available to purchase, this annual plant sale has become a must-see for local and regional gardeners everywhere. Hours are Thursday-Saturday 9am-5pm and Sunday 12pm-4pm.
The Arboretum is open daily from dawn to dusk and no admission fee.
The Arboretum is a unique, 7-acre park with FREE admission, in the heart of New Hanover County where homeowners can see the variety of plants that grow in our coastal area as well as emerging trends in plant material.
Cooperative Extension’s “horticulture laboratory”, the Arboretum has a very knowledgeable staff and many volunteers working to make the gardens beautiful and educational. Come out and discover what makes us so extraordinary! The Arboretum is open to the public and is FREE!
